Online ODG to CDR Conversion

Convert ODG files to CDR online

How to Convert ODG to CDR

ODG (OpenDocument Graphics) is the default format used by LibreOffice Draw and Apache OpenOffice. CorelDRAW does not directly support ODG, so the conversion to CDR requires an extra step.

1. Export ODG to a Compatible Format

  • Open your ODG file in LibreOffice Draw or Apache OpenOffice Draw.
  • Go to File → Export.
  • Choose a CorelDRAW-compatible format such as SVG, PDF, or EPS.
  • Save the exported file.

2. Import into CorelDRAW

Once you have the exported file:

  • Launch CorelDRAW.
  • Go to File → Import and choose the SVG, PDF, or EPS file.
  • Place it on the canvas.
  • Save the project as .cdr.

3. Online Conversion Method

Alternatively, use products.conholdate.app:

  • Convert ODG → SVG (ODG to SVG tool).
  • Download the converted SVG file.
  • Open it in CorelDRAW.
  • Save as CDR.

4. Free Open-source Workflow

If CorelDRAW is not available:

  • Use Inkscape to open the exported SVG or PDF.
  • Verify that shapes and text are displayed correctly.
  • Save or export to another CorelDRAW-supported format if necessary.
  • Later, import that file into CorelDRAW and save as .cdr.

⚠️ Note:
CorelDRAW does not natively support ODG files. You must first convert them to SVG, PDF, or EPS before opening in CorelDRAW. SVG is usually the most reliable choice for vector preservation.
