Online PS to CDR Conversion

Convert PS files to CDR online

How to Convert PS to CDR

PS (PostScript) is a page description language used primarily for printing and desktop publishing. While CorelDRAW can import PS files, a direct save to CDR requires importing and re-saving. If you need compatibility or vector editing, conversion is necessary.

1. Import PS into CorelDRAW

  • Open CorelDRAW.
  • Go to File → Import.
  • Choose your PS file and place it on the canvas.
  • Edit if needed and save the project as .cdr.

2. Convert PS to PDF First

Since CorelDRAW handles PDF better than PS directly, you can:

  • Convert PS → PDF using an online tool like products.conholdate.app.
  • Download the PDF result.
  • Import the PDF into CorelDRAW.
  • Save as CDR.

3. Use Ghostscript & Free Tools

For those who prefer open-source software:

  • Install Ghostscript (interprets PS files).
  • Convert PS to EPS or PDF using Ghostscript.
  • Import the converted file into CorelDRAW.
  • Save the project as CDR.

4. Vector Tracing Option

If your PS file has raster elements:

  • Import into CorelDRAW.
  • Use Bitmap → Outline Trace for vectorization.
  • Clean up paths and save as CDR.

💡 Tip: PS is primarily used for print workflows. If the file doesn’t open properly, convert it to PDF first to preserve vector and font data before importing into CorelDRAW.
