Convert PSD to CDR Online

Free PSD to CDR Conversion Tool

Steps to Convert PSD into CDR

PSD files are raster-based image documents created in Adobe Photoshop, while CDR is a vector-based format native to CorelDRAW. There is no direct conversion, but you can import PSDs into CorelDRAW and either embed them as bitmaps or trace them into editable vectors.

1. Import PSD into CorelDRAW

  • Launch CorelDRAW.
  • Go to File → Import and select your PSD file.
  • Choose how to handle layers and transparency if prompted.
  • Place the imported image on the canvas and save as CDR if you just need the bitmap embedded.

2. Vectorize PSD Content

For scalable, editable graphics:

  • Import the PSD into CorelDRAW.
  • Select the bitmap object and go to Bitmap → Outline Trace.
  • Pick a tracing mode (Logo, Detailed, etc.) to convert it into vector paths.
  • Refine the traced shapes, then save as CDR.

3. Use Online Conversion First

With products.conholdate.app you can prepare the PSD before bringing it into CorelDRAW:

  • Convert PSD → SVG using the PSD to SVG tool.
  • Download the SVG and open it in CorelDRAW.
  • Save your project as .cdr.

4. Free Open-Source Alternative

If CorelDRAW is unavailable:

  • Open the PSD in GIMP or Inkscape.
  • Export it as SVG or PDF.
  • Open the exported file in CorelDRAW.
  • Save in native CDR format.

ℹ️ Reminder:
Saving PSD inside a CDR keeps it raster-based. If you want true vector editing, always use tracing or convert the PSD to SVG before importing.
