How to Convert Text to CDR
Text files (plain text or formatted text) can be imported into CorelDRAW and styled as vector-based text or graphics. Since CDR is CorelDRAW’s native format, the process involves importing the text and saving it as a CDR project.
1. Import Text into CorelDRAW
- Open CorelDRAW.
- Go to File → Import and choose your text file (.txt).
- Place the imported text onto the drawing canvas.
- The text will appear as editable text inside CorelDRAW.
2. Style and Format the Text
Enhance your text to make it suitable for vector design:
- Apply fonts, colors, and text sizes.
- Add outlines, fills, or special effects.
- Arrange the text in your desired layout.
3. Save as CorelDRAW File
Once you’ve designed your text:
- Go to File → Save As.
- Choose .cdr as the file format.
- Your text is now saved as a CorelDRAW project.
4. Online Conversion Option
If CorelDRAW is not installed, you can use products.conholdate.app:
- Convert Text → PDF (TXT to PDF tool).
- Download the PDF file.
- Open it in CorelDRAW.
- Save as .cdr.
⚠️ Note:
Text files only contain characters without formatting. To make them useful in CDR, you should style and arrange the text in CorelDRAW before saving.
