How to Convert TXT to CDR

TXT is a simple plain text format, while CDR is CorelDRAW’s native vector graphics format. To convert TXT to CDR, you typically import the text into CorelDRAW and then apply formatting, layout, or graphic design before saving as a CDR file.

1. Import TXT into CorelDRAW

  • Open CorelDRAW.
  • Go to File → Import and select your TXT file.
  • Place the text on your canvas.
  • The contents of the TXT file will appear as editable text inside CorelDRAW.

2. Format and Style the Text

Once the text is imported:

  • Apply fonts, sizes, and colors.
  • Add effects, outlines, or shapes around the text if desired.
  • Arrange the text in your design layout.
  • Ensure everything looks correct before saving.

3. Save as CorelDRAW File

When you’re done styling the text:

  • Go to File → Save As.
  • Choose .cdr as the output format.
  • Your TXT content is now preserved inside a CorelDRAW file.

4. Alternative Online Workflow

If you don’t have CorelDRAW, you can use products.conholdate.app:

  • Convert TXT → PDF (TXT to PDF tool).
  • Download the PDF.
  • Open the PDF in CorelDRAW.
  • Save it as .cdr.

⚠️ Note:
TXT files contain plain text only, without formatting. To make them visually useful in CDR, you’ll need to style and arrange them in CorelDRAW before saving.
