How to convert WORD to CDR
Since CDR is Corel’s proprietary format, there’s no direct “Word → CDR” converter, but here’s how you can do it:
1. Using CorelDRAW directly (best way)
- Open your Word document in Microsoft Word.
- Export/Save As PDF (Word → File → Save As → PDF).
- Open that PDF in CorelDRAW (File → Open).
- CorelDRAW will parse it as editable objects.
- Save/Export as .cdr.
2. Using Free Online Tools
On products.conholdate.app you can:
- Convert Word → PDF Word to PDF tool.
- Then (same as above) open the PDF in CorelDRAW and save as .cdr.
If you need vectorized graphics (like logos or shapes in your Word file), you can instead:
- Convert Word → SVG (via Word → PDF → SVG)
- Import the SVG into CorelDRAW → Save as .cdr.
3. Inkscape alternative
- Convert Word → PDF.
- Open the PDF in Inkscape.
- Save as SVG/EPS.
- Open in CorelDRAW → Save as .cdr.
⚠️ There’s no direct Word → CDR converter (because of Corel’s format lock-in). The standard workflow is: Word → PDF → CorelDRAW → CDR
